Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will debut earlier than anticipated in some countries, including the United Kingdom, according to a recent update from Disney.

The planned MCU threequel hasn’t shifted from its scheduled release date since it was revealed during a sizzle reel in May 2021, despite Phase 5’s delays.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which James Gunn, the recently recruited head of DC Studios, is directing, is a highly anticipated MCU project because the director has stated that the threequel will be the “final” for Star-incarnation Lord of the gang.

This adds to the potential deaths in Vol. 3, which could be problematic for the core Guardians.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will debut on May 3 in the UK and Ireland, two days before its initial May 5 release date, according to Disney, who made the announcement via Digital Spy (which is still the scheduled release for the sequel in the United States).

Tom Linay of Twitter initially posted the update.

The movie’s official release date in the Philippines has also been pushed back to May 3. Marvel Studios PH made this announcement when the film’s major trailer debuted over the Super Bowl weekend.

Is Disney bringing the MCU films’ original UK release dates back?

With the exception of Captain America: The First Avenger, Ant-Man, and The Wasp, which were released later, and Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was released on the same day as the US, practically every MCU film during the Infinity Saga had its UK premiere two days before its American counterpart.

Several nations, like Singapore, the Philippines, and Ireland, also made this change.

The global epidemic, however, significantly shifted this release schedule. Marvel films have started to debut in nations like the Philippines and Australia earlier than in the UK and the US ever since health condition has improved. Ant-Man 3 had its Philippine premiere on February 15 and its Australian debut on February 16.

Also, Phase 4 movie release dates in the UK are more consistent with those in the US, but this most recent development for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 may be a sign that the previous timetable will be adhered to.

If it does, it will be wonderful news for MCU fans in the UK because they will be able to view the films during the typical timeframe they experienced with the Infinity Saga.
