After his role as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and The Wasp, Jonathan Majors will next be seen in Quantumania, according to Marvel.
Major made his MCU debut in Season 1 of Loki, playing the formidable He Who Remains.
In the end, Sylvie, played by Sophia Di Martino, killed that individual, which caused the Multiverse to shatter and all timelines to diverge.
Prior to playing Kang the Conqueror and later other variations of that character in the post-credits scenes of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Majors had not before appeared on the screen.
Kang will continue to be a potent antagonist in the MCU, and now that all of his Variants have joined the fray, fans are wondering where Majors will appear next.
What Will Be Kang’s Next Location in the MCU?
Jonathan Major Kang’s impending comeback was hinted at in Ant-Man 3, and now Marvel has officially stated that Season 2 of Loki on Disney+ will be Jonathan Major’s next appearance in the Marvel movie in order.
So, Majors’ prospective participation in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is off the table, eliminating the possibility of a minor Jonathan Major Kang role or an end-credits tease for events leading up to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
The animated What If…? series, which was initially scheduled to premiere before Loki Season 2, may also be canceled as a result. However, a release date for that program is currently uncertain, and it might air after Tom Hiddleston’s series.
Producer of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and VP of Production & Development at Marvel Studios Stephen Broussard teased that the character of Jonathan Major Kang “may go anywhere.” Additionally, he stated that “all options are on the table:”
It is obviously capable of taking on any identity. When it comes to Jonathan and Kang, part of the enjoyment is expecting the unexpected. There are numerous options available.”
Then, Broussard lauded Majors’ acting skills, describing him as “a force of nature” and “a Swiss Army knife”:
“We simply knew we had what I like to refer to as a Swiss Army knife in a performance, and you need an actor who can be as versatile as a chameleon. Jonathan is a powerhouse, and seeing him absolutely embrace this version of Kang day in and day out was truly inspirational.”
Majors made a comment about his most recent acting experience in the MCU, calling it “illuminating.”
The actor continued by saying that he “feels so excited” when he plays these parts and that he is ready to continue appearing in the franchise “for as long as they let (him):”
In addition, I feel a strong obligation to share these tales and promote these characters for as long as they permit. I feel like I’m ready and I’m focused, and I know I have the backing to achieve it.”
Who Is Victor Timely from Loki Season 2?
Jonathan Majors appeared in the Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania post-credits scenes. In one of those moments, Victor Timely, playing the Variation of Kang, was on stage during a performance alongside Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Owen Wilson’s Mobius.
But, now that Marvel has confirmed that Majors will be portraying a villain in Loki Season 2 by the name of Victor Timely, fans will be curious to learn more about the character and the threat he represents.
As was already mentioned, Kang the Conqueror’s secret Variant Victor Timely was developed when he went back in time to the early 1900s.
Victor Timely, it should be noted, does not have superpowers, but he does amass enormous riches and power in the early 20th century.
The Jonathan Major Kang variant Loki and Mobius were observing in the second post-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is this character.
Victor Timely from the comics has a mustache that resembles Majors’s facial hair from the post-credits scene almost exactly. It’s also crucial to note that Majors appears to be wearing early 1900s attire in the post-credits sequence.
Having said that, Victor Timely was only briefly visible to the audience in the post-credits scene in Ant-Man 3. Nevertheless, when Loki appears, perhaps in the summer, more information will be known about him.
